Trump Dismisses Health Rumors: "Never Felt Better in My Life"

Amid swirling speculation over his health, former U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday firmly shut down rumors, declaring he has "never felt better" in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social. Trump was responding to a post by conservative commentator DC Draino, who criticized what he called the "comical double standards" in media coverage of Trump versus current President Joe Biden. Draino noted that Biden often goes days without public appearances but is still praised as “sharp,” while Trump draws criticism if he’s out of the spotlight for even a day. “President Trump puts in more public work hours than any other POTUS in U.S. history, and the media freaks out if he disappears for 24 hours,” Draino wrote. Trump replied simply: "NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE." In the same post, Trump also made a surprising claim that Washington, D.C. had become a "crime-free zone." The latest wave of rumors about Trump’s health began after the White House released a blank presidential schedule last week, sparking online speculation. The hashtag #TrumpIsDead trended on X (formerly Twitter), fueling conspiracy theories. To silence the chatter, Trump posted a photo of himself playing golf over the weekend — though critics online dismissed the image as “fake.” Comments from Vice President J.D. Vance added more fuel to the fire. In a recent interview with USA Today, Vance said he was “prepared” to take on the presidency in case of a “terrible tragedy,” though he stressed that Trump remains active and fit. “He’s the last person making phone calls at night, and the first one making calls in the morning,” Vance said. “Yes, terrible tragedies happen. But I feel very confident the president is in good shape and will finish his term strong.” Adding an unusual twist to the conversation, The Simpsons creator Matt Groening made a tongue-in-cheek remark that went viral online. While discussing the future of the long-running show, Groening joked, “We’re going to keep going until somebody dies. When you-know-who dies, there’ll be dancing in the streets — except President Vance will ban dancing.” Concerns about Trump’s health have been circulating for months. Earlier this year, he was seen with a large bruise on the back of his hand, followed by new marks on his palm. Trump’s team reportedly tried to cover them with makeup. Photos showing swelling in one of his legs also surfaced, prompting further speculation. In response, the White House released a statement from physician Dr. Sean Barbaella, explaining that the marks were “minor soft tissue irritation” caused by frequent handshakes and the use of aspirin — part of a routine heart health regimen. In July, officials confirmed Trump has chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition that can lead to leg swelling. Despite the rumors, Trump and his allies remain firm in their message: he is healthy, active, and fully capable of finishing his term.
