Looks like Bengaluru is in for a wet week ahead, with rain and thundershowers expected to stick around, according to the latest weather forecasts. The India Meteorological Department has issued heavy rainfall warnings for several areas, including Bangalore Rural, Tumkur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Koppal, Bagalkot, and Belgaum, among others. This warning comes on the heels of the southwest monsoon making its presence felt in Karnataka's capital on Monday evening, bringing along some heavy showers over the last few days. An orange alert has been raised for heavy to very heavy rainfall in regions like Uttara Kannada, Haveri, Shivamogga, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Gadag, Dharwad, Chikkamagaluru, and Belagavi. For those in North Interior Karnataka, a yellow alert is in place for today and tomorrow, with the possibility of isolated heavy rainfall. Areas such as Bagalkot, Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, and Yadgir might also see some rain along with gusty winds. As for the weekly weather forecast, Bengaluru is set to enjoy relatively stable conditions, with daytime temperatures around 29°C and nighttime lows near 20°C. Humidity will likely hover between 65% and 85%, giving the city a cool and damp feel. Expect mostly cloudy skies with moderate rainfall throughout the week. The IMD hasn't issued any severe weather warnings, indicating a low risk of extreme conditions. However, it looks like the rain might ramp up a bit as we head into the weekend, with more intense showers expected later in the week.
