They need to revise all electoral rolls, but they haven’t done that. They’ve set a benchmark from 2003, which implies they assume there’s an existing electoral roll. So, a valid question is, why 2003 and not the one from January 2025? Sankarnarayanan: There’s nothing here that permits you to set a marker... and without conducting individual inquiries, does the law really allow you to start such a process? 2:56 pm, 13 Aug 2025 Sankaranarayanan: India takes pride in being the largest democracy, yet the ECI can be so nonchalant, just saying they’ve sent the enumeration form along with documents. Which law gives you the authority to do that? Who gave you permission? Just like that, 65 lakh people are being excluded? 2:56 pm, 13 Aug 2025 Sankaranarayanan: The enumeration form and all that has no constitutional backing... it’s just a product of the ECI’s imagination. They need to amend the RPA if they want to take away my entitlement.
