Disha Patani’s Father Thanks UP CM Yogi Adityanath After Gangsters Behind Firing Outside Home Shot Dead in Ghaziabad Encounter:
In a swift and dramatic turn of events, the two gangsters accused of opening fire outside Bollywood actor Disha Patani’s Bareilly residence were shot dead in an encounter in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad on Wednesday evening. Following the incident, Disha’s father, Jagdish Patani — a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (CO) — expressed deep gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the UP Police for their prompt and decisive action. In a video message shared after the encounter, Jagdish Patani thanked CM Yogi for delivering on his assurance and praised the state administration for creating a “fear-free society.” “I thank UP CM Yogi Adityanath on behalf of me and my family. As he had assured me, he found the criminals and took strict action. I had a telephonic conversation with CM Yogi today and thanked him. Under his leadership, the UP government and police are working tirelessly to make society fearless,” Patani said. High-Profile Attack and Swift Crackdown The incident that triggered this intense operation occurred in the early hours of September 12, when gunshots were fired outside Disha Patani’s home in Bareilly. The brazen attack shocked both the local community and Bollywood fans nationwide. A social media account allegedly linked to Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar quickly claimed responsibility. The Delhi Police Special Cell, in coordination with the Uttar Pradesh and Haryana Special Task Forces (STFs), launched an extensive manhunt. Within 24 hours, investigators traced the suspects' movements, leading to their final location in Ghaziabad’s Tronica City. The Encounter: A Fierce Gunbattle According to police officials, the encounter occurred around 7:20 PM on Wednesday when a police team intercepted the suspects — identified as Ravinder from Rohtak and Arun from Sonepat — who were attempting to flee on a motorcycle. When asked to surrender, the duo opened fire, leading to a fierce exchange of over a dozen rounds. Both gangsters sustained critical injuries — Ravinder was shot in the chest while Arun was hit in the neck and chest. Despite being rushed to the hospital, both succumbed to their injuries. Four police officers, including members of the Special Task Force, were injured during the encounter but are reported to be in stable condition. Linked to Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara Gangs Investigations confirmed that the two deceased gangsters had direct links to notorious criminals Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara. Goldy Brar, already wanted in multiple cases, has been known to operate from abroad while directing criminal operations in India. The swift coordination between multiple agencies and use of advanced technical surveillance were key in tracking down the suspects. The team led by ACP Dharmender Singh and SI Manjeet Singh worked tirelessly through the night, finally locating the accused early Wednesday morning. A Message of Safety and Assurance The quick action and ultimate neutralization of the threat have been widely seen as a strong message from the UP government against organized crime. Disha Patani’s family, visibly relieved, praised the efforts and efficiency of the police force. This encounter adds to the growing list of high-profile crackdowns under CM Yogi Adityanath’s administration, reinforcing the image of a law-and-order-focused governance model in Uttar Pradesh. As investigations continue, police are also probing deeper links between the attackers and other gang networks, with more arrests likely in the days ahead.
