Apple Announces App Store Awards 2025 Winners: Top Apps and Games of the Year:

As 2025 comes to an end, Apple has officially revealed the winners of its App Store Awards 2025. These annual awards celebrate the best apps and games across Apple’s ecosystem, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, and the Apple Vision Pro. This year, Apple App Store editors selected 17 winners from a pool of 45 finalists, highlighting apps and games that delivered outstanding quality, innovation, and user experience. One of the biggest winners this year is Cyberpunk 2027 Ultimate Edition, which earned the title of Mac Game of the Year. The popular futuristic RPG was praised for its graphics, storytelling, and performance on Apple Silicon devices. It won against strong competitors like Assassin's Creed Shadows and Neva, both of which were also finalists in the category. In the wearable category, Strava was awarded Apple Watch App of the Year. Known globally as a top fitness and activity-tracking platform, Strava continues to help millions of users monitor their runs, workouts, and daily health. It competed with other strong apps such as Pro Camera by Moment and Go Club. The iPad App of the Year award went to Detail, an innovative tool that uses AI-powered video editing to help users create high-quality content quickly and easily. Detail stood out among its category finalists, Structured and Grain Touch, thanks to its intuitive interface and powerful editing abilities tailored for content creators. For iPhone users, the iPhone App of the Year was awarded to Tiimo, a visual planner designed to help people organize their schedules more effectively. Powered by Artificial Intelligence, Tiimo breaks down tasks into actionable and easy-to-manage steps, making it especially helpful for users who prefer visual planning or who struggle with daily structure. On the Mac side, the Mac App of the Year award went to Essayist, a powerful AI-supported writing tool. Essayist focuses on solving a major challenge for students and researchers: the time-consuming process of academic formatting. The app helps users quickly structure research papers, citations, and academic content with impressive accuracy. Apple also highlighted apps created for its newest platform, the Apple Vision Pro. The Apple Vision Pro App of the Year was awarded to Explore POV by James Hustler, recognized for offering immersive and creative visual experiences. Meanwhile, Porta Nubi, developed by Michael Temper, won Apple Vision Pro Game of the Year thanks to its engaging gameplay designed specifically for spatial computing. For gaming across other platforms, Pokémon TCG Pocket secured iPhone Game of the Year, while DREDGE was honored as iPad Game of the Year. The Apple TV App of the Year went to HBO Max, and the Apple Arcade Game of the Year was awarded to WHAT THE CLASH? from Triband ApS. Apple also announced its Cultural Impact Award winners, recognizing titles that inspire positive change, support inclusion, and encourage meaningful connection. This year’s honorees include Art of Fauna, Chants of Sennaar, despelote, Be My Eyes, Focus Friend by Hank Green, and StoryGraph. With these awards, Apple once again celebrates the creativity, innovation, and dedication of developers around the world.
