Ahead of Trump’s deadline on Ukraine, Putin is scheduled to sit down with U.S. envoy Witkoff.

On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Steve Witkoff, a special envoy from U.S. President Donald Trump, in Moscow, according to the Kremlin. This meeting comes just days before the White House's deadline for Russia to strike a peace deal with Ukraine, or else face serious economic repercussions, including potential sanctions that could impact countries buying Russian oil. The Kremlin hasn't shared any additional details about their discussion yet. Earlier that day, Mr. Witkoff was spotted enjoying a morning walk in Zaryadye Park, close to the Kremlin, alongside Kirill Dmitriev, who serves as the Russian President’s envoy for investment and economic cooperation, as shown in footage broadcast by TASS.
